The Retracting 7 Line Clothesline from Hills is a smart and space-saving option. With huge drying space capacity, it features seven lines that can be extended up to 47m. The lines can be easily retracted when not in use, saving you valuable space in your backyard.

Clothesline installation is available for most clotheslines we sell in our online store including, rotary, wall and ground mounted, indoor and outdoor clotheslines.

Pricing may vary depending on the type of installation, as additional services may be required, such as Core Drilling for ground installations into cement or rock.

STANDARD* CLOTHESLINE INSTALLATION

• Pricing for a standard* clothesline installation is $165.
• This pricing includes the cost of cement for ground installations or fixings for wall mounted installations.

* Standard clothesline installation means there is no obstructing rock or concrete in or around the immediate installation area. If rock is found during installation and jack hammering is required, an additional fee will be charged.

HOW IT WORKS

After purchasing our Clothesline Installation Service, you will receive a confirmation email with the details of your order and contact information of your assigned Clothesline Installer.

Your assigned Clothesline Installer will contact you to confirm all details with you to book a mutually agreeable installation time and date, as well as any additional costs.

If you have purchased a new clothesline with our installation service, please wait until your clothesline has been delivered to your home before contacting your Clothesline Installer to organise a date and time for it to be installed.

*Please note, that it can take up to 1 to 2 weeks for your clothesline to be installed depending on the time of the year and the work load of our installers.

If you have any questions prior to purchasing a clothesline installation, please call or email us directly and one of our team members can assist you with any concerns.

DAY OF CLOTHESLINE INSTALLATION

• The installer arrives onsite at the agreed time*
• The installer will install the clothesline at the chosen location, according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
• The installer may adjust the clothesline to your preferred height.

*Please read our Terms of Installation to avoid being charged a callout fee of $80 under certain circumstances.

CLOTHESLINE REMOVAL SERVICES

• If you need your old clothesline removed first, we offer clothesline removal for an additional fee of $60.
• Simply select the "Clothesline removal and installation" option.
  

*Please note, for ground mounted clotheslines, they will be cut off at the ground level. Old concrete in the ground will not be removed. The installer will dismantle and take your old clothesline with them.

TERMS OF INSTALLATION

Please read the following Terms regarding our Clothesline Installation Service.

AN $80 CALL OUT FEE MAY BE CHARGED DIRECTLY TO YOU UNDER THE FOLLOWING CIRCUMSTANCES

• You are not at your premises at the agreed date and time of your installation.

• The installer cannot install your clothesline due to an incorrect product selection. Please make sure you have purchased the correct post mounting option for your specific requirements. If you are unsure contact us on 1300 866 421.

• The installer is unable to gain clear and safe access to the installation area due to hazards or excessive debris including, dog, cat or other animal faeces. Our installers have the right to refuse to work in these types of conditions.

CHANGING AN EXISTING INSTALLATION BOOKING

• If you need to change your installation booking, please contact the installer at least 48 hrs prior to installation to avoid a call out fee.

CLOTHESLINE INSTALLATION AREAS & SURFACES 

• The safety of our installers is paramount. Please make sure there is clear, safe and easy access for the installer to safely bring their required tools and materials to, from and around the installation area, to avoid any possible injury.

• Please choose the area you would like your clothesline installed prior to the installer arriving. We recommend having a second location chosen in the event your first preference is not suitable. If you are unsure the installer will be happy to recommend the best location for your specific circumstance.

• Please understand that our clothesline installers will only install clotheslines on masonry wall surfaces (brick, concrete) or on a Ground Mounted Post Kit suitable for Soil or on top of a concrete slab. Installing post mounted clothesline in soft soils is not recommended and can void installation warranty.

• It is the responsibility of the customer to know of any underground pipes and services located in or around the clothesline installation area. Whilst our installers are experienced in installing clotheslines, they cannot be held responsible for being guided by the customer in what area they want their clothesline installed, therefore installers cannot be held responsible for any underground damage to underground services.

• Extra charges will apply to installations that require Core Drilling, Jack Hammering and Customising Clotheslines to fit a customers requirements. Please discuss these charges directly with your installer.

• Extra travel charges may apply if you are outside the installers working area. Please discuss these charges directly with your installer prior to your installation.
